[07.11.01] Wiikey update 1.9g (as in galaxy!) beta released!

We are pleased to announce that BETA HOTFIX v1.9g of the Wiikey firmware is now available to download. Please note that this is a BETA HOTFIX released as an immediate response to feedback from users regarding SMG. It comes with absolutely no warranty or guarantees. Use it at your own risk! Feedback is welcome, but please send your message one time only. We can't reply to every message we get, but we do read all of them.

The Wiikey Team would like to thank all of those who sent in their messages of support over the last few days. Knowing that there are so many kind people out there has really made the whole thing worthwhile. Thanks! :-)

Anyone with a PAL Wii confirm that they got SMG working with this?

Update did the trick.  :yaywii:

Just when I was about to give up on Wiikey and switch mod chips. They proved that they actually care about those who purchased their chip.  ;)

Mario Galaxy Confirmed working on my USA NTSC Wii.  :)

I just got my Wii with Wiikey, do I need to burn this file to a DVD disc like I burn an ISO or in another way? If you answer this question then please tell me how to burn it.
Thanks in adavance.
(I wont use this update ´cuz it´s a BETA and I just got my Wii today..)
Sorry if it´s not the place.
P.S.
I can´t play my back up games, I didn´t update the Wii or the Wiikey, if i update the Wiikey it will work, right?

Yes you just burn it like a normal DVD ISO. Are you trying to run import games and you really should update your WiiKey to at least 1.9 if not this 1.9g release

Don´t forget to upgrade your Wii´s firmware to the latest via internet connection.

NEVER EVER LET IMPORT GAMES UPDATE YOUR WII´S FIRMWARE. NEVER EVER EVER.

You´re a new Wii owner... do youself a favour and read / research on how some unfortunate others have bricked their Wiis... and how you can avoid that.

I´m replying to OmerMee´s PM here:

Your Wii has 2 firmwares:
1) The Wii´s own firmware - Which you should always update using WiFi (safest)
(... the Wiikey allows you to override the region of Wii games.  Bricking happens when a different region Wii game with a newer firmware update than what´s on your Wii is allowed to installed the update.)
2) The Wiikey´s firmware - Best place to get that is from their page (http://www.wiikey.cn/).

I updated the Wii but nothing has changed, when i put a disc in it says:
"Unable to read the disc.

Check the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."

What should i do?
It´s a PAL Wii and all the games i´ve tried are PAL (The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Mario Strikers Charged Football, Super paper mario and Super Smash Bros. Melee)
