What version of Wad Manager?  What version of IOS are you using for Wad Manager?  I bet it's an issue of "the custom WAD installer that came with the WADs which gives me a black screen.".  Hope this helps.

Error ret -2011 in Wad Manager is severe, I had problems with it in the past on one Wii. -2011 means that the tile you are trying to write on is write-protected. It's possible that you've once installed something on a specific tile and cancelled the process, so it's full but not exactly full. Either that, or the IOS you're using to install WAD's doesn't have privilages to write into NAND. Always use the Trucha-Enabled IOS to install WAD's, for example IOS 36.

I suggest trying again using IOS36, if that doesn't help, use AnyTitle Deleter before attempting to install on the block again. Use it with EXTREME CAUTION.

As far as cIOS'es go, the most important ones you need are 202,203 (HERMES cIOS) and cIOSX (249,250). You can easily install them with their respective installers,  if that returns an error, it means that the tiles occupied by those IOS'es are taken and write-protected.

To get rid of that error, again, use AnyTitle Deleter OR if that fails, Dop-Mii.

Every single time you try to install a wad, you need to select a Trucha-Vulnerable one. It's highly probable that after the update to 4.3, your Trucha Bugged IOS "vanquished". Dop-Mii will help with that issue again by installing a Trucha-Vulnerable IOS, that option's even in the main menu.

THIS IS ONLY GENERAL INFORMATION THOUGH, we'd be able to help you more efficiently if we knew what WAD's return the error. If after reading my post you still don't have a clue what you're doing, please make another post describing the issue in more detail.

You could also try clicking uninstall before installing, that should delete anything relating to the title you are trying to install. If you are trying to install a cIOS wad or something, then you probably have not deleted the stubs. Use dopmii to delete any of the cios slot stubs (222,223,249,250)

I realize this is an old post, but for anyone reading this now, get ModMii and use that for Wii soft modding. It's basically a wizard that asks you everything it needs to know about your Wii and what you want to get out of it. It downloads all your files for you, copies them to your memory card and displays a personalized guide for you to follow. Anyone can go from a regular Wii to homebrew within an hour, it's simple and everything will be installed the way it's supposed to be.

We know of ModMii. Kiekoes used it in his tutorial
