  trying to install Waninkoko's 4.1 updater..

i was trying to use Waninkoko's 4.1 updater but can't get hbc to find it on sd card wondering how do you install it couldn't find that info on the web site or here in the forums?

Waninkoko always distributes his stuff just as a dol file. Make a folder in your apps folder for the application and stick the dol file in there named boot.dol then the HBC will find it.

yea that is what i did and it didnt see the folder or dol file either?? maybe the folder is to long i'll try renaming the updater folder on the sd card?i guess...
but that is how i thought i was to load it also.. the way you just said but it did not see it.

Yeah I'm not really sure why it didn't show for you. I don't know of any restrictions with folders either. Try putting a different .dol in the folder and see if it see's it so you can confirm if that is the problem although I doubt it.

Something like this is where it should be although I imagine you have something like this already:

SD://apps/update4.1/boot.dol

also you can try to use boot.elf instead of .dol or maybe but both boot.dol and boot.elf in your folder.
