Technically I use both, but only because I put in the WiiKey when it first came out - Now I just use USB Loader GX

Softmod is something anybody can do plus no Wii opening and such stuff so I chose softmod
plus it's not pricy :P
In other hand chips are some time avaiable at put in without difficult methods but still money involved :P
