Apparently these limited edition blue Wii consoles lack gamecube support entirely. The left side panel where there would normally be a tray is screwed to the device, and there is what is probably one of the worst cob jobs I've seen in a while underneath...I'll let the photos do the talking here.

Thanks a lot for sharing this.

I just heard from a trustworthy source in Germany that this one has a normal 4.3 and can get a Softmod like any other Wii. Can you say something about that?

The fact that it lacks GC support is well-known, the console is also entirely soft-moddable - it's a standard, everyday Wii. I have to say though, that panel... is lazy as hell.

They didn't even bother making a new side panel for it? My only guess is they had some spare parts from previous Wii models and couldn't find a better way to get rid of those. Very lazy move on Nintendo's part.

I first planned on getting one of these because they look really cool, but I probably wouldn't play on it anyway and after seeing it's just an extremely lazy rehash of the regular Wii, I'll save the money and get some more 3DS/Vita games.

Thanks for the information btw, I'd never read about this issue before.
