My current 2TB hard drive has started making some funny noises so I figured I would back the entire thing up to a new 2TB hard drive. I have created the partitions exactly the same, formatted exactly the same (Primary), I then use WBFS Manager 3.0 to format each of the new hard drives 2 game partitions, I then used WBFS Manager 3.0 and select copy drive. It only copies 2/3rds of the games. I tried the same thing and tried copying the games from one to the other and it does the same thing. I read somewhere to use Norton Ghost, I got that and tried it and I cant get that to work either....
Can somebody post a tutorial on the best way to backup a 2TB hard drive with 3 partitions (1 for the wii files, and 2 other ones for the games) to a new identical hard drive?
I honestly suggest switching from WBFS Manager to Wii Backup Manager. WBFS Manager hasn't been updated for ages and it suffers from many issues - trouble with big drives being only one of them. As for the 4.0 version of the WBFS Manager, the only difference is that it handles GC Iso's for modchip users. Switch. I did and never regreted. If that doesn't help, check these things:
1. Does your HDD have a "Limit Capacity" jumper? If so, remove it.
2. Put a jumper on MASTER position when using it via USB.
3. Try connecting it as SLAVE and via a standard SATA/IDE cable directly to the mainboard.
4. Try deleting all partitions and reformatting.
5. Try leaving a small NTFS partition appart from the game partitions.
6. If nothing helps, wipe the drive with Easus Partition Manager
7. If that doesn't help, return it as faulty.
Also, "weird noises" aren't anything that you should be truly concerned of. They all squeak sometimes.

I agree. I took your advice and agree completely. I will not be looking back either. The interface kinda reminds me of Quix. WBFS has never given me any problems, however this WBM is much more fluid and clean.
