I have noticed that the size of some wads seem to be rather large for the rom they contain. Why have a 11Mb NES wad for each game when you can run a emulator and use roms <100Kb?

The wad doesn't only contain the rom, it also contains the emulator (mad... almost) and the instructions for the game. Emulators are better for keeping down sizes and not taking up your precious blocks.

I'm guessing that the difference between the homebrew emulation and VC for the older systems is marginal to none, and VC for the 64 is better than the homebrew. Anyone have any experiance about this?

Yep - In fact I believe that some emulators are better than VC i.e. Snes

N64 Emulation is pointless at this stage because the emulator is very slow

Also, the Emulator can load ROMS off the SD card so you don't have to put it on the wii system memory.  Helpful if your 512 MB of internal wii memory is slim to none as mine is.

I think the wii memory is very usefull, for that we should use emulators to save blocks ;) like said someone upper....neogeo and n64 are best Vc games and you cannot use emulator Xd the final option is WAIT :) and while use VC ;).

I'm not sure why people bother with VC games for older systems. Emulation is near perfect for practically everything older than the N64/PS1. Don't waste your Wii memory on channels, especially when there are extra features in emulators that VC games don't have.
