Nice!
I thought that just connecting the wii to the internet, while it being chipped, would "destroy" it?

The only issue with being online is the online update feature in system settings and, if you use connect 24, there are some quirks in the T&C which could enable your hacked wii to be detected. Just avoid using these 2.
